During a week on the field, the delegation of campaigners from France, Burkina Faso and Benin, together with Malian activists met residents of Bamako’s neighborhoods under demolition, in fight against land speculation, peoples sick of leprosy among other stigmatized peoples, strikers of Morila gold mine, sacked employees of HUICOMA Koulikoro Factory, farmers dispossessed of their lands by the Office of Niger, growers and gardeners in Bamako, collectors and vendors of sand, gravel, activists for civil liberties and rights of women, collectors of human waste liquid ...
"The forum has already taken place between us," was heard even before the day of the opening. Links made of trust and solidarity were created between activists. The Network has in fact now to make visible these local struggles, make the voices of these women and men be heard, give all them a face. Workshops and talks were the place for building convergence, common demands and solidarities. The "Peoples with no" Forum, which was relayed by the press and national television, was a great success with 200 participants. It was a first achievement of that kind in Mali. Incidentally, it’s worth noticing that the Voice of "With No" that resonates so few in the social forums, is the voice which the authorities fear, which a corrupt police jails. We know for having experimented during these very days in Bamako. The conclusions are : Never shut up, building solidarity from a local struggle to another is our collective strength, and we will continue with our own forums ...
